University of New South Wales

The conference is hosted by the School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). The UNSW main campus is located in Sydney's eastern suburb Kensington, close to Sydney airport and Coogee beach. A map of the Kensington campus can be downloaded from here. The School of Mathematics and Statistics is located in the East Wing of the Red Centre (H13 on the campus map).

There is an iPhone/iPad app called "Unofficial UNSW Map App" which shows the campus map, your position, compass, bus timetable, as well as other useful information.

Conference venue: Tyree Energy Technology Building

The conference will take place in the Tyree Energy Technology Building (H6 on the campus map). All lectures will be held in Lower Ground Theatre 5, (LG05).

Morning and afternoon tea: Tyree Energy Technology Building

Morning and afternoon tea will be provided on ground level in Tyree Energy Technology Building. There is also a small coffee shop on ground level inside the Tyree Energy Technology Building where participants may purchase specialist beverages.

Lunch

Lunch will not be provided. There are plenty of eating places on campus and on Anzac Parade.

Dinner options

There are a variety of restaurants near to UNSW at the following locations (please refer to the map below).

1.On Anzac Parade between Barker St and Rainbow St (south of UNSW), ranging from simple student eating places to budget/mid-range. (These may also be convenient for lunch off-campus).

2. On Belmore Road between High St and on Alison Road (east of UNSW), and also on the section of Alison Road between Belmore Road and Avoca St, budget to mid-range.

3. On Perouse Road between Soudan St and a little south of St Pauls St, mid-range.

4. On Coogee Bay Road, east of Brook St, budget to mid-range.

Internet and computer access

UNSW has eduroam to provide free wireless access for visitors whose home institutions also have eduroam. Please check with your institution whether you have access to eduroam and for instructions on how to set up eduroam (this depends on your home institution and not on UNSW, hence it is recommended to set up eduroam before traveling to Sydney).

Wireless internet accounts (different from eduroam) can be provided, but will need to be requested at the time of registration.
