Accommodation
Conference attendees are responsible for booking their own accommodation. We have provided some suggestions below. All rates quoted were correct in June 2012, but may change. We recommend booking accommodation early.
On-campus accommodation
We expect that many conference attendees will stay at New College Village, which is just across the road from the conference venue, or at UNSW Village, which is on campus.
Another on-campus option is New College. (Note, New College is not the same as New College Village, despite the similarity in name.)
All three on-campus options are very conveniently located, with cafes, bars and restaurants nearby. Buses are at the door, taking you to the city, beaches, shopping centres, the airport and railway station.

The Single Apartment rooms are individually keyed and have their own ensuite bathroom, while sharing a kitchen and lounge area with 5 or 6 other single apartment rooms. A block booking of a number of Single Apartment rooms has been made for 36ACCMCC attendees. Early booking is recommended.
The Single Studio rooms have a private kitchenette, but there are a very limited number of these available.
The booking form (PDF) has further details. (This form is also available as a Word document.)
To submit your booking form, or for any further enquiries, please email Angelina Enno at conferences@newcollege.unsw.edu.au.

Accommodation near UNSW
There are many off-campus accommodation options, particularly in Randwick and Coogee. Randwick is close to the UNSW campus, and Coogee is a nearby beachside suburb. Both Randwick and Coogee have many cafes, restaurants and shops, and regular bus services to the city. There are buses from Coogee to UNSW during the day until about 8pm (a short bus ride or a 30 minute walk, involving both uphill and downhill). After that time buses continue running between Coogee and Randwick. Have a look at our Travel page for more information about buses.
Midrange - Guest Lodges
There are several guest lodges in Randwick. The four lodges mentioned below are all conveniently located within a few blocks of the UNSW campus. The rooms have tea-making facilities and a refrigerator, a desk or table, and an ensuite bathroom. The lodges do not provide breakfast, but they do have some shared facilities including a small guest kitchen for cooking, and a guest laundry. The four lodges all offer similar facilities: see their webpages.
The closest lodge to the UNSW campus is the Blenheim, which is only a block away. This is a fairly new building with a well-appointed shared kitchen. The Randwick, Perouse and High Cross Lodges are a few blocks away from campus and are older-style rambling buildings with a variety of rooms and a simple shared guest kitchen. The Perouse Lodge has a cafe by its front door.
Bookings made online at the websites mentioned below receive a 10% discount if they are made 60 days in advance of arrival: look for the box along the left side of the page which mentions "Early Bird Deals".
After this 60 day deadline, the 10% discount cannot be obtained online but may be obtained by phoning or emailing the lodge directly to make your booking: make sure you mention that you are attending 36ACCMCC.
